My professional career has been centred on the intersection of economics, technology, and digital transformation. As a trained economist, I have always been fascinated by numbers and the sciences that study them, which led me to specialise in data interpretation to predict past, present, and future trends. I have spent much of my career in the private sector, combining my work with research as a member of the BISITE group and as a professor at the University of Salamanca, where I earned my PhD in Economics. At the same institution, I also serve as the Deputy Director of the Multidisciplinary Institute of Business.

Furthermore, my commitment to innovation extends to other areas. I am Head of the Economic Area at the IoT Digital Innovation Hub, and my editorial work includes serving as editor of the Global & Local Economic Review journal and associate editor of the Spanish Journal of Accounting. I am also a member of the Network of Accounting, AI and Emerging Technologies of the Spanish Association of University Professors of Accounting and Chairman of the steering committee of the International Conference on Decision Economics.

Today, my research work and my passion for the future are found at the Quantum Economics & Technology Experience Lab (QETEL), where I serve as coordinator. At QETEL, we explore the new frontiers of technology and its impact on the economy. In addition, I maintain a steadfast commitment to supporting young talent, collaborating with foundations to help them bring their dreams to life.
